Weigh-In Thursday

I lost 3.4 pounds since my last weigh in!  I guess the 1,200 calories and exercising daily is what my "asleep" body needed to wake up.  Here is a little motivation for the rest of the week...which is when it is the hardest for me to stay on track.

whimsical and excessive…

She was whimsical and excessive… but you forgave her everything, because she was generous and loyal. And above all she was alive. All that was necessary was for her to appear, or even for someone to speak of her to make everything sparkle.

Motivation for Monday

I am kicking it into high gear! Ready to get back to eating healthy and working out every day.  I went through my Health board on Pinterest for a little inspiration and motivation.  Here are the favorite things I found. . .

"We believe elegance can be casual. We believe gratefulness is compatible with fits of laughter. We believe it’s completely acceptable to be sexy. We believe in dinner parties, charity parties, beach parties, dance parties, and parties in general… We believe in living a colorful life." -Lilly Pulitzer

New Years Resolution

"Just for today: I will live through this day only.  I will not brood about yesterday or obsess about tomorrow.  I will not set far-reaching goals or try to overcome all of my problems at once.  I know that I can do something for 24 hours that would overwhelm me if I had to keep it up for a lifetime.
Just for today: I will be happy.  I will not dwell on thoughts that depress me.  If my mind fills with clouds, I will chase them away and fill it with sunshine.

Just for today: I will accept what is.  I will face reality.  I will correct those things that I can correct and accept those I cannot.

Just for today: I will improve my mind.  I will read something that requires effort, thought, and concentration.  I will not be a mental loafer.

Just for today: I will make a conscious effort to be agreeable.  I will be kind and courteous to those who cross my path, and I'll not speak ill of others.  I will improve my appearance, speak softly and not interrupt when someone else is talking.

Just for today: I will refrain from improving anybody but myself.

Just for today: I will do something positive to improve my health-if only just for today.  And not only that, I will get off the couch and take a brisk walk, even if it's only around the block.

Just for today: I will gather the courage to do what is right and take responsibility for my own actions."

Quote of the Day 12.7

"I am not alone at all, I thought. I was never alone at all. And that, of course, is the message of Christmas. We are never alone. Not when the night is darkest, the wind coldest, the world seemingly most indifferent. For this is still the time God chooses." -Taylor Caldwell
